/ Disclaimer.
Read this before you train. Fiz is a fitness platform, not a doctor. Exercise carries real risk — here is what you need to know to look after yourself, and how responsibility is allocated between you and us.

01/ What Fiz is — and isn't
Fiz is a fitness tracking and workout-sharing platform operated by Fiz Global Ltd (registered in England and Wales, company number 17237174). We help you record training, see your progress, follow other athletes, and discover new workouts. We are not a medical device, a personal trainer, a coach, a physiotherapist, or a clinician. Nothing on Fiz — whether written by us, posted by another user, or generated by AI — constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a personalised exercise prescription.
02/ Inherent risks of exercise
All exercise carries some risk. By using Fiz, you acknowledge that physical activity can result in, without limitation:
- Muscle strain and soreness, sprains, ligament and tendon injury.
- Joint injury, dislocation, and fracture.
- Cardiovascular events including heart attack and stroke.
- Rhabdomyolysis, dehydration, and heat illness.
- Falls, collisions, and equipment failure.
- In rare cases, serious or fatal injury.
These risks are heightened in high-intensity formats — functional fitness and CrossFit®-style WODs, AMRAPs, EMOMs, hybrid racing (e.g. HYROX®), Murph, Hero WODs, benchmark WODs, Olympic lifting, gymnastics, prolonged endurance events, and anything involving heavy load, complex skill, or maximal effort.
03/ Consult your doctor first
You should speak to your doctor or another qualified medical professional before starting any new exercise programme, materially increasing your training intensity, or attempting any specific workout on Fiz — particularly if any of the following apply to you:
- You have any pre-existing medical condition (heart, lung, joint, musculoskeletal, metabolic, neurological, or mental health).
- You are pregnant, postpartum, or trying to conceive.
- You are recovering from injury, illness, or surgery.
- You are taking medication that may affect your ability to exercise safely.
- You have not exercised regularly in the past six months.
- You are aged 50 or over, or otherwise have a higher cardiovascular risk profile.
If you are in any doubt about whether a workout is safe for you, the safe answer is to ask a professional — not to start the workout.
04/ Your responsibility while training
You are responsible for your own safety. While using Fiz, you agree to:
- Warm up before, and cool down after, every workout.
- Choose workouts, loads, and intensity appropriate to your current fitness level, experience, and any medical guidance you have received.
- Use correct technique. Seek qualified, in-person coaching for high-skill movements (Olympic lifts, gymnastics, etc.).
- Use safe, well-maintained equipment and a suitable training environment.
- Stop immediately and seek medical attention if you experience chest pain, pressure or tightness; faintness or dizziness; shortness of breath beyond normal exertion; severe joint or muscle pain; numbness; or any other warning sign.
- Not rely on Fiz for emergency medical assistance. In any emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.
05/ User & AI-generated workouts
Workouts on Fiz are created and shared by other users, generated by AI models on your request, or curated by us. We do not screen, verify, endorse, or guarantee the safety, accuracy, or suitability of any workout for any individual user. A workout that suits an elite competitor may be dangerous for a beginner, and vice versa. You are responsible for assessing whether a workout is appropriate for you, modifying it as needed, and stopping if something feels wrong.
AI-generated workouts in particular are produced by large language models that can be incorrect, unsafe for your specific circumstances, or unsuitable for your equipment. Treat them as a starting point — not a prescription.
06/ Health data is not medical monitoring
If you connect Apple HealthKit, Google Health Connect, or any other integration, we display selected metrics (heart rate, calories, distance, steps, workout duration) for your convenience. This data may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Do not rely on it for medical monitoring, diagnosis, or treatment. If a metric concerns you, talk to your doctor — not the app.
07/ Assumption of risk
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you voluntarily assume all risks of injury, illness, or property damage that may result from your participation in any activity referenced, recorded, suggested, scored, or generated through Fiz — including AI-generated workouts and workouts created, shared, or remixed by other users.
08/ What this does not exclude
Nothing in this disclaimer or in our Terms of Service limits or excludes our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Any breach of terms implied by Sections 9 to 11 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (where applicable).
- Any other liability which cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under English law.
09/ Read alongside
- Terms of Service — full agreement, including Section 7 and Section 15.
- Privacy Policy — what we collect and how it is protected.
- Community Guidelines — how we expect users to behave on the platform.
