What you get

Everything
your event
/ needs.

Every event gets a page in the app and on the web. Add entry, a leaderboard and patches as you need them, and leave out what you don't. Each part works on its own, so a free throwdown and a paid competition with four divisions are set up the same way.

Entry and payments

Sign-ups and payments
/ in the app.

Athletes find your event, pick a division and pay by card in a couple of taps, in the app or on the web. The money goes straight into your own Stripe account and you are the merchant of record. You get a notification for every new entry.

  • Free sign-up where you approve each entry, or paid sign-up
  • Divisions, each with its own team size and number of places
  • Teams pay once, then teammates join for free with a team code
  • Your refund policy, shown to athletes before they pay
  • Entry closes by itself when the event starts
  • Every entrant in one list in your dashboard, by division
  • Selling elsewhere? Import your list and athletes link their place with a personal code

Athletes pay a booking fee on top of your price: 5% + £1, so £1.75 on a £15 entry. It covers card processing and Fiz, and your entry price reaches you in full.

Leaderboard and results

A live leaderboard
/ you control.

Enter the scores yourself in a grid that works like a spreadsheet, or let athletes submit their own from the app and verify each one. Nothing goes public until you publish it, one workout at a time.

  • A board for every division, by workout and overall
  • Overall points from placings, where the fewest points wins
  • Ties, time caps and capped scores handled for you
  • Search and filters, so athletes find themselves fast
  • Provisional until you finalise, with every later edit logged
  • A results page on the web and in the app that anyone can open
Publish a workout's scores and the leaderboard updates in the app. Example event.

Patches

A patch for everyone
/ who took part.

Upload your art, one patch per division if you like. Athletes keep it on their Fiz profile with their placing on it, and every patch comes with a share card for their story.

  • Given to every entrant automatically when you finalise the results
  • Or hand out codes on the day, printed as QR cards, with your own prefix
  • As many patches as you like, with no charge per athlete or per claim
  • Claiming is always free for athletes
Hand out codes on the day. Athletes claim the patch in the app and the code shows as claimed. Example event.

What it costs

No event fee
with entries
/ on Fiz.

You need Fiz for Business, which also covers selling programs and running communities. When athletes sign up through Fiz, the event itself costs you nothing, and athletes cover the booking fee.

Fiz for Business £29/mo Or £290 a year. The first 30 days are free and no card is charged during the trial. Cancel any time.
Events with sign-up on Fiz, free or paid £0 No fee per event, per athlete or per patch. Run as many as you like.
Booking fee on paid entry 5% + £1 Paid by the athlete on top of your price. It covers card processing and Fiz, and it isn't refundable.
Events where you take entries elsewhere £99 + VAT One-off, per event, paid when you send it for review. Includes the page, the leaderboard and patches.

Paid competitions, online competitions, in-house throwdowns and meetups all run with sign-up on Fiz, so the event fee is £0. Only an event that takes its entries somewhere else, such as its own ticketing, pays the £99 + VAT.

What kinds of events can I run on Fiz?
Anything people train for and turn up to, in person or online: in-house throwdowns, gym competitions, team competitions, online competitions where athletes submit their own scores, charity workouts, seminars and run club meetups. One-off or annual, a dozen athletes or a few thousand.
What does it cost?
You need Fiz for Business, which is £29 a month or £290 a year, with the first 30 days free. When athletes sign up through Fiz, free or paid, there is no event fee at all. If you take entries somewhere else, the event costs £99 + VAT, paid once when you send it for review. Patches, the leaderboard and the results page are included either way, and there is never a charge per athlete or per patch.
How does paid entry work?
You set a price per event and connect your own Stripe account from your Fiz dashboard. Athletes pay by card in the app or on the web, and the money goes straight into your Stripe account, so you are the merchant of record. Athletes pay a booking fee on top of your price (5% + £1, so £1.75 on a £15 entry), which covers card processing and Fiz. Your entry price reaches you in full.
Can teams enter?
Yes. You set the team size for each division. The person who signs the team up pays once, then teammates join for free with the team code. Each teammate has their own Fiz account, so the result and the patch land on every profile.
How do scores get onto the leaderboard?
Two ways. You can enter the scores yourself, in a spreadsheet-style grid or by import. Or athletes submit their own scores in the app and you verify each one. Either way nothing is public until you publish it, workout by workout, and the overall standings stay provisional until you finalise them.
Do athletes need the Fiz app?
Everyone who enters needs a free Fiz account, on iOS, Android or the web. Anyone can view your event page and the results page in a browser without one.
